Arya's first long sickness

Arya got sick on monday (03/22/10) and we thought it was probably just a light fever caused by her teething. But that wasnt the case. She stayed sick for 6 days with fever up to 104.5 in the middle of the night on tuesday. Scared and worried about her, we put her in the tub filled with warm water and sponged her hoping for the fever to come down a little. That did not help much. So once she was dry and dressed again, I got some cold water and put cold compress on her forehead. After about 2 hours, her fever came down to 101 and she was feeling a tad bit better. Took her to the doctor the next morning and got Arya tested for strep throat and UTI. Needless to say test for UTI was not fun - she had to have a catheter put in and not once but twice. My little baby was hurting and there wasnt anything I could do to take her pain away. All her tests were negative so the doctor thought that it probably is Roseola virus. Well once her fever was gone, she got a pink rash all over her tiny body. She was barely eating anything and had no energy to even crawl. Finally since yesterday she is feeling better and a little like her old shelf again.Today she is sitting on the floor and reading the newspaper with her dad :)
