4th January 2014
Since moving to Australia in Feb of 2013, Arya has spent more time at home then in daycare. When we moved from one area to another we decided to keep her at home.
I guess day and night of adult companionship has her craving for more time with kids her age even though she always wanted mommy and daddy to play with her.
Arya was very excited about starting school and making new friends. On the first day of school she was up on time and ready to put on her uniform and pack her lunch in her backpack. By the time we were ready to get in the car, the excitement was still there but the smile seemed to have disappeared from her face. She was not thrilled about the part that mommy will drop her off and come back home.
We made it school and she meet her buddy assigned by the school and said bye to us with a smile on her face. She had lots of stories to tell us when she came home. One of the things she said was:
"Mommy, I am going to go to school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I will never stay at home again." Part of me was happy that she loved school so much, but a small part of me was dad that she was so desperate for friends. The move was hard on her and now finally she has some normalcy return to her life.

Wonder how long it will be before she comes and tells me "mommy I want to stay home today".
